Travel to Nuvsvåg
Nuvsvåg is located close to the best fishing grounds in the area, and is relatively easy to get to. Travelling from afar, the easiest way to get here is by plane to Tromsø, Alta or Hasvik. The last leg of the trip to Nuvsvåg is made by car and ferry.
There are several authorised car rental companies in Tromsø. A rental car provides the ultimate freedom to explore the amazing nature that surrounds the scenic road that leads to Nuvsvåg. You pick up the car at the airport upon arrival and return it at the airport when you depart. From Alta you can rent a car or take the bus to Øksfjord.
If you travel via Hasvik airport, you have to take the ferry to Øksfjord. We can pick you up either upon arrival at the airport in Alta or at the ferry port in Øksfjord.
Going by car to Arctic Nuvsvåg
Stay on E6 to Langfjordbotn, make an exit to road no. 882 and follow the signs towards Øksfjordjøkulen / Øksfjord / Hasvik. At the ferry port in Øksfjord, stay in the lane that leads to “Nuvsvåg/Tverrfjord”. The drive from Tverrfjord ferry port to Arctic Nuvsvåg takes approximately 20 minutes.
