Evelinas tips & tricks

What kind of equipment is essential for you to bring on adventures?
The Icebreaker Merino baselayer is a must-have to keep me warm. I love my K2 Mindbender 106c – they’re relatively light during ascents and both very playful and stable on the way down. I always bring a good cap, sunglasses, plenty of water and a packed lunch to ensure a good experience. However, the most important to bring is avalanche equipment, first aid kit and a Garmin InReach.
Any good tips to make the trip as good as possible? Any hacks that work for you?
I do meditation and yoga in the morning to get a feel of my inner state, set an intention for the day and bring good energy into the mountains. Having an overview of the area of your choice and checking the map carefully also gives you a good starting point, especially considering different approaches in case of changing weather and snow conditions. Eat and drink enough along the way to keep your spirits up and fully experience and cherish the adventure you are embarking on.
