What made you become a freeride skier?
The feeling of skiing untouched powder and the urge to always try to develop my skill made me hunt for more outside pisted ares. And of course the feeling of freedom and making new friendships in the mountains.

What kind of terrain is your preferred, and why?
I love to ski steep, big mountain lines that you walk to, preferably not too convexed.

From your point of view, what about Nuvsvåg makes it a good skiing destination?
The approach is short to reach epic skiing in every direction! The area is also very calm and beautiful.

Your best memory from Nuvsvåg?
Standing at the bottom after skiing Middagsfjellet’s east face, maybe one of my best lines I ever did in my life. Which also included my very first spine. We woke up at 04:00 while the rest of Nuvsvåg was asleep. The only awake living creatures were Jacob, Emil, myself and the harbour porpoise as we approached Middagsfjellet. We walked and climbed towards our own lines, and there I was. Standing on my own, seeing the sun break through the scattered clouds to get those epic views. We skied down in great snow and then had to take the ferry back to the mainland. It was the best possible end to a truly incredible week.

How do you perceive the Arctic Nuvsvåg team and their facilitation?
Amazing! I had my own room, a great space for chilling and it has everything you need. Including a sauna. Throughout our whole stay, Rolf and Marianne were very nice and friendly. They for sure left us with a smile on our faces looking back.

Did you encounter any locals adding to your experience?
We went to eat an Easter cake at the local store, and we met a lady that told us we were very brave to ski Svartfjellet.

Any other business you want to highlight?
Go to Nuvsvåg if you want to experience something new. There are lines to be skied everywhere. And those epic views. I can’t stop talking about the views….
